Allsorts begin announcing Freshers 2011

Last year was mental and featured some of Drum and Bass's best Dj's, Producers and vocalists which then led into an amazing student year of raves.

This year we aim to smash last years events and bring even more of the finest artists to Monkey Bar for Allsorts.

We begin this year with a bit of hip-hop.....

September 9th : The Three Amigos Live

The 3 Amigos are a 3 man hip hop crew made up of producer Naive, and 2 MCs L.Lyricist & Bva. The group are dented records newest additions and have been working together and performing all over the UK for around 4 years. They hold some of the best production in the UK fused with some of the realest, tightest lyrics around, bringing you a raw and original hip hop sound. This is appropriately described by their extended group's name of Real Life Drama.

September 28th : Allsorts Present NETSKY (Hospital Records)

Rarely have we seen someone rise through the ranks this quickly, and having a Belgian passport doesn’t often turn D+B heads, so you can be sure it’s his tunes which do the talking. In less than 12 months Netsky swiftly secured releases on some of the biggest names in the scene, Liq-Weed Ganja, Spearhead and Talkin Beatz gained DJ support from the likes of Friction, Hype and Fabio and also earned a nomination as “Best Upcoming Producer” within just months of his first release at the Drum + Bass Arena Awards. With his blend of uplifting , melancholic melodies and heavy dancefloor bass + beats it wasn’t long before Netsky was well on the radar of London Elektricity and High Contrast. “Smile” made it onto Hospitality’s “This Is Drum + Bass” and “Memory Lane” on to Logistics’ Hospital Mix 8 in 2010.  His skill as a re-mixer has not gone unnoticed as he remixed Leftfield – “Release The Pressure” to wide critical acclaim and has plenty more up his sleeve for 2011.

To affirm his status as a superstar even further, Netsky has scooped numerous awards and accolades for production and DJ-ing in the past couple of years,  including no less than four awards at the Drum & Bass Awards 2011 for ‘Best Breakthrough DJ’, ‘Best Breakthrough Producer’, ‘Best International Artist’ and ‘Best Liquid DJ’. Firmly reserving a seat at D+B’s top table, Netsky has signed exclusively to Hospital. With his unique sound now to be bolstered by Hospital’s A+R team, big things are expected for Belgium’s premium D+B export.
